Grief is a natural response to loss. It’s the emotional suffering you feel when something or someone you love is taken away. Often, the pain of loss can feel overwhelming. We never "get over" a loss we simply "get through" it.

You may experience all kinds of difficult and unexpected emotions, from shock or anger to disbelief, guilt, and profound sadness. 

The pain of grief can also affect your physical health making it difficult to eat, sleep, or think clearly. These are normal and very common reactions to loss. It seems the more significant the loss, the more intense grief can be. 

Coping with the loss of someone or something you love is one of life's biggest challenges. Most people associate grieving with the loss of a loved one but there are many other forms of loss that can be just as devastating.

Grief Guidance and support are designed to help people who have experienced loss, find meaning, move through the stages of grief and help people move through each stage in healthy ways as they mourn the death of a loved one.

Empowering Health uses a variety of techniques during the process of grief support to help you experience, understand, and move through the grief process as it relates to mental health.
